In the wake of the earthquake tragedy that kill thousands of people in Haiti many fundraising organizations are coming out asking people to donate relief funds for the people of Haiti. While donors are quick to help this country which is in crisis, many organizations that are asking for donations maybe scams to profit off this crisis. Foundations such as the Red Cross has established creditability has being legit but many others have not. So before you decided on sending money to an organization here’s a few things you might want to ask them. What percent amount of my donation will actually be helping the victims? When will it get there? How has your foundation helped with of tragic events? To make sure you are not a victim of donation profit scams know who you are sending your money to.
