The New England Patriots Is The Team Of The Decade

The team of the decade is without a doubt the New England Patriots. As much as I hate to admit this because I’m a die-hard Colts fan, it’s the truth. I can still remember Tom Brady’s start to glory. It happened against the Colts in a game in which the Colts were heavily favored to win. After Drew Bledsoe got injured Tom Brady entered the game and began torching an Indianapolis Colts team he still lights up today. This was in 2001 and their dominating play would continue throughout the decade. That same season the New England Patriots went to the Super Bowl and defeated a Saint Louis Rams team many NFL teams feared at the time. Not many years later the Patriots would make it to another Super facing the Carolina Panthers. Patriots handled the challenge winning their second Super Bowl of the decade. The following NFL season the Patriots made yet another Super Bowl appearance facing a Philadelphia Eagles team that had two very good players in Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb. The Patriots proved to the world once again that they were the best professional football team. The Patriots were officially a dynasty and every NFL team could only dream of playing the way they played. In 2008 the Patriots once again made it to the Super Bowl coming off a perfect regular season. However this time they would be beaten by a New York Giants team that had the right players in the right positions. When you think of the best sport’s team of the decade it’s difficult to over look the New England Patriots. If I had to choose another team of the decade it would be the Los Angeles Lakers. Who knows who’ll be the team of the next decade but there’s no doubt that the Patriots were the team of the last decade.
