Rising pressure on India and Pakistan over Kashmir

Kashmir is a world in itself, very beautiful and exotic place that has the potential to be heaven on Earth. But the terrorism and inter country problems regarding the land, has turned Kashmir into hell over the years. Yes these lines are true and the once loved tourist spot has turned into a night mare these days with terrorist attacks and violent attacks on even the innocent tourists. Many lives have been lost over the years in the beautiful place leaving blood traces on the snow of the land. The Separatist Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq made it clear by saying that the International pressure was now growing on Islamabad and New Delhi over the issue of Kashmir. The international pressure was also regarding the fact that the Kashmiris should be included in any negotiation that may commence between India and Pakistan over the disputed region of Kashmir. The pressure from international fronts are exerted on both the countries which are neighbouring and is to pressurise them on holding meetings and talks regarding the issue and solving the matter as fast as possible. After Farooq’s return from Geneva conference, he made these facts evident and worth a thought. He also mentioned that the kashmiris should also be involved in the discussions between the two countries regarding Kashmir. He also stated that the special powers of the armed forces in Kashmir should be repealed to maintain more peaceful environment over there. International support is mounting on the demand of demilitarisation in Kashmir. The process of demilitarisation should start and prevailing black laws such as Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, and others, should be repealed so that a common Kashmirie can lead a normal and peaceful life.
