The Nano from Tata motors is a very good looking and smart car for the people who have a small budget. However, it is not that cheap now with the fresh booking starting in some time. The Nano is by far the world’s cheapest car that comes at a price approximately of about one lakhs of Indian rupees. It is due to get launched in the European countries and will be launched there within three years of time. The Tata Nano gets manufactured at Tata’s Pantnagar plant in Uttarakhand. The Tata Company in a makeshift basis produces the Nano in this plant. The Tata’s Pantnagar plant in Uttarakhand is a zero excise region and thus it attracts many tax sops. However, this production in Tata’s Pantnagar plant will stop and production in the mother plant in Sanand, Gujarat is expected to start form April. Thus, tax outgo will also go up, as there will be no tax rebates available over there.
The suppliers of Tata have to transport components for the Nano to Uttarakhand from far away places and thus increasing the Logistic cost.
Tata motors also displayed its electric model of the Nano in Geneva motor show very recently and this amazing version is supposed to get launched in Europe in three year’s time.
There was a hint for buyers of the nano that the price is gradually going to rise in the future. They said that the first lots of buyers were promised to get the price line held. However, the exact amount of the rise in price was missing in any statement.
