Time after Time

There it goes again, The sounds of screaming and arguing

The voice of her yelling with confusion

Not understanding what her daughter did

“Why did you try to take your life away?” she asked She answers with fear

“I don’t like the way my life is”

 She listens but does not understand Blinded by her anger and deaf by her rage

The father enters and protects the girl Saying she was confused but that it will be fine

He offers to take both the children away To his home for a better place

The mother argues and says “Take her but not the boy.

He stays, I don’t want her” And that’s the day the daughter realizes her life started to fall apart

She stayed with her father for almost a month

Not hearing a word from the mom Every single day a pain and stab in the heart

The father says to go back and try it again

But she no longer sees her mother the same

Feeling betrayed and alone She doesn’t see everything clearly anymore

Wondering if it was her anger speaking or her heart

Then it’s starts all over again

The screaming and arguing in the four wall home

 Always between the mother and daughter

 Always wondering if it’ll ever be the same again
